What is OWLClaw?
OWLClaw is a companion app for children aged 5–10, made by LegacyShift AI LLC. Ollie the Owl chats with your child, tells personalised bedtime stories, cracks kid-friendly jokes, runs brain-teaser challenges and turns their ideas into printable line-art coloring pages. It is ad-free and parent-controlled.
What ages is OWLClaw for?
OWLClaw is designed for children aged 5 to 10. During a 2-minute setup, a parent sets the child’s age so Ollie pitches vocabulary, stories and puzzles at the right level.
Is OWLClaw safe for kids?
Yes. OWLClaw has no ads, no stranger chat, no social feed and no child accounts. The parent area is locked behind a maths gate and a parent PIN, purchases are parent-only, and conversations are designed to be gentle and age-appropriate. Full details on the For Parents page.
How much does OWLClaw cost?
OWLClaw is free to start, including chat, all play modes and 3 coloring pages per day. OWLClaw Premium costs $9.99/month or $99/year with a 7-day free trial, and adds Ollie's warm premium voice plus up to 100 coloring pages a day.
What devices does OWLClaw work on?
OWLClaw is available now for Android phones and tablets on Google Play. A web app at owlclaw.app (which also works on iPhone and iPad) is coming soon.
Does OWLClaw need an internet connection?
Yes. Ollie’s brain runs online, so OWLClaw needs WiFi or mobile data. If the connection drops, kids see a friendly Ollie message — never an error screen.
How do the coloring pages work?
Your child describes anything — "a dragon having a tea party" — and Ollie generates a clean, simple line-art coloring page designed to print well and be genuinely fun to color. Free families get 3 pages a day; Premium families get up to 100.
What data does OWLClaw collect?
The minimum: a nickname and age for the child (no child email, account, photos or location), plus anonymous usage and crash analytics to keep the app working. Nothing is sold to anyone. Read the full privacy policy.
Can my child make purchases in OWLClaw?
No. All purchase actions live in the parent area behind the grown-up maths gate and your PIN. There are no child-directed purchase prompts.
